Volunteer
Do you have a few hours that you can share with the Central Florida community?
Lighthouse Central Florida (LCF) offers a variety of opportunities for you to share your time, talent, and energy with people who are challenged with low vision or blindness.
We utilize volunteers in program services, resource development, and building & grounds improvement. Program services volunteers provide assistance in areas such as: classroom instruction, interpreter services, and clerical support. Resource development volunteers offer assistance in areas including: special events, fundraising, and community relations. Building & grounds improvement projects are often made possible through the generous assistance offered by volunteers. Volunteering at Lighthouse provides an opportunity to be active in the community and help individuals with sight impairment. We are indebted to the many volunteers that help out our agency.
Lighthouse maintains a list of individuals who are interested in volunteer opportunities. As volunteer positions become available, individuals on the list will be contacted within 10 business days. If there is an opening, we will proceed with the application process.
If a position is available that matches your interests you will be asked to:
- Complete a Lighthouse Central Florida Volunteer application
- Pass a background check
- Complete HIPAA Privacy Training.
