CAN TOO Club Cooks Up A Storm

CAN TOO Club student Chris as he chops vegetables with instruction from one of the Young ChefsChefs from the Young Chefs Academy visited Lighthouse and taught our CAN TOO children how to properly wash, clean, cut, and dice vegetables to create homemade minestrone soup. The young chefs also tought the children how to  roll and season dough to create homemade bread sticks.  They then served Lighthouse’s Puttin’ on the Ritz gala planning committee a delightful afternoon treat. The soup and bread sticks were very delicious and fun was had by all!

Thank you to the Young Chefs Academy for visiting Lighthouse and taking the time to teach the CAN TOO children that being a chef can be fun!

Visit www.lighthousecentralflorida.org/news.asp for the homemade minestrone soup and bread sticks recipes, and visit www.youngchefsacademy.com for more information about the Young Chefs Academy.

Watch for the Young Chefs Academy birthday party gift certificate in this year‘s silent auction at the Puttin’ on the Ritz gala and be sure place your bids!
