Lighthouse Central Florida hosts the annual Puttin’ on the Ritz gala to help raise funds for the essential vision rehabilitation services we provide for children and adults of Central Florida that have been diagnosed with blindness or vision impairment. Each year we honor a distinguished individual for their professional and volunteer contributions that greatly benefit Central Florida. This year’s honoree, Dr. Deborah C. German, will receive our Community Visionary Award, for her contributions in bringing the UCF College of Medicine to life which changes the face of medical care in our community and beyond Central Florida.Puttin’ on the Ritz, presented by the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation, will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at The Ritz-Carlton, Orlando Grande Lakes. The event kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail hour, silent and live auctions throughout the evening, and will conclude at 11:00 p.m. Masters of ceremony are Dave Collins and Leslye Gale from the “Magic Mornings” show on Magic 107.7. If you have raised $50 or more you will receive a free Sight & Sole T-Shirt.*For raising $50 or more you will also receive a One Day 2 Park Pass good for the day of the walk which will be distributed at the end of the walk after the awards ceremony.Offline DonationsTo expedite the registration process on Walk Day, please send your offline donations to the Lighthouse Central Florida office prior to the Walk.
