2010 Puttin' on the Ritz Gala

Puttin on the Ritz 2010 Logo

Lighthouse Central Florida hosts the annual
Puttin’ on the Ritz gala to help
raise funds for the essential vision rehabilitation services we provide for children and adults
of Central Florida that have been diagnosed with blindness or sight impairment.

A distinguishing American value is our belief in the intrinsic worthiness of every individual. This is evidenced by our nation’s commitment to and investment in the potential of our people, through an extensive array of educational, vocational and rehabilitative programs. At Lighthouse Central Florida, we believe all individuals who are impacted by vision loss can expect to live independent and productive lives.  Vision loss should not deprive any person from reaching one’s full potential.  With hard work and effort, even people with severe sight impairment should expect to be fully employed and active in their communities.

Each year we honor a distinguished individual for their professional and volunteer contributions that greatly benefit Central Florida. The Community Visionary Award is presented to outstanding individuals who, through their contributions to Central Florida serve as examples of the values stated above.  In this spirit, Lighthouse Central Florida is delighted to recognize and honor The Honorable Carl T. Langford, Mayor Emeritus of Orlando (1967-1980) as our Community Visionary Honoree.

Puttin’ on the Ritz will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010 at The Ritz-Carlton, Orlando Grande Lakes. The event kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail hour, silent and live auctions throughout the evening, and will conclude at 11:00 p.m.

Masters of ceremony are Dave Collins and Leslye Gale
from the “Magic Mornings” show on Magic 107.7.
Tickets are $250 per person
($2,500 for a table of ten)
