Persons with blindness, low vision, and other sight impairment should have easy access to resources and tools that they may need to fully engage in daily activities, to be successful in education and vocational pursuits, and to participate as interdependent, productive, and effective members of family and community life.
Lighthouse Central Florida strives to educate the community about the many risks, diseases, and injuries that can result in blindness and other sight impairment. We also strive to engage the community in the promotion of universal design: creating policies, systems, institutions, programs, products, and environments relevant and accessible to all persons, posing no physical or artificial barriers to persons with blindness and other severe sight impairment.
Lighthouse has been fortunate enough to have many community partners in the Central Florida community to help us reach our goals and carry out our mission.
