Ability to Market:
Ability to Market (ATM) is a course that helps participants address and resolve barriers to employment, gain confidence needed to approach potential employers, and gain insight into skills critical for job retention. Participants develop personal marketing tools including: Ability Statement, Personal Data Sheet, Resume, and Cover Letter. Students learn to hone the job search using a variety of tools including the internet, job fairs, networking, and cold calling.

Job Placement:
Job placement services enable individuals with vision impairment to gain competitive employment. Job development, job site evaluation, job site adaptation, limited job coaching, and monthly follow-up monitoring for 90 days after placement are provided. Participants in Job Placement attend a Job Club twice per month at Lighthouse, which provides a venue for clients to share their successes and challenges in the job search, brainstorm and network job leads, reinforce the concepts learned in Ability to Market training, and conduct job search activites with assistance and guidance from staff.

Supported Employment:
Supported Employment services enable participants to gain and maintain competitive employment in an integreated setting. These services are available to adults who are visually impaired and have other significant disabilities that result in the individual having dificulty gaining or maintaining employment. Individualized intensive job placement and job coaching services are provided in addition to follow-along services once the individual is able to successfully perform job tasks.
